Description

This waterfront property accessed only via a private gated road has it all. Whether you want to put on your snorkeling gear, rock fish at the bottom of the property, get amongst the plentiful crayfish and snapper or rest and relax with the tranquil back drop.

If your into boating then you can launch from Tauranga Bay beach if you have 4wd or drive 10 min to launch from Whangaroa Harbour.

Richard, of Northland Sea Kayaking, based in the bay, has 24 years experience of this coastline and would be happy to share it with you.

The New Zealand Department of Conservation maintains an excellent range of tracks in the Tauranga Bay area, providing walks and longer hikes to some awe-inspiring scenery and ‘hidden’ treasures of nature.

A 30 minute climb up to the towering St. Paul’s Rock and have 360º of utter beauty – including the entire Whangaroa Harbour.

The Mahinepua Peninsula Track is a 2km track which provides access to the many sheltered bays around the region.

Another walk of note is the Motukawanui Island Track – a 1.5 hour traverse of the largest island in the Cavalli group – which has amazing views of Mahinepua Peninsula, Matauri Bay and the Cavalli Islands.

There are a number of golf courses within a short drive from Tauranga Bay including the Whangaroa Golf Course and the prestigious Kauri Cliffs - only 20 minutes away. The KeriKeri Golf Club is also just a 40 minute drive from Tauranga Bay.

Enjoy the many water activities for the family every day or if you just want to relax and read on the porch and take in the amazing view...it's up to you!

This property made our jaws drop when we arrived, such a stunning setting with epic views. The Bach itself was super cute, clean and well equippped, beds so comfy too. Loved the hydrangea flowers that surrounded the deck. Spark coverage was perfect. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend for those who want to experience their own piece of paradise.

  • A beautiful part of NZ, thank you for sharing it

A beautiful part of NZ, thank you for sharing it. A pity the bach does not reflect the holiday rental charged. Other properties provide a lot more value for money.

    Owner/manager responds:

Interesting your feedback is the only one out of ALL that has made this comment. Your very lucky I didn't charge you for ALL the rubbish you left at our Bach!!! ... actually I might just charge you the $50 fee for rubbish disposal.!!

What a stunning location! We loved the isolation, and despite the weather being a bit stormy, it's a great place to sit back, relax, and watch the storms roll in. Our 15-month-old loved watching all the different wildlife out the window - tuis, pheasants, quails, rabbits, hedgehogs, pukekos - I even spotted a kiwi when going out one evening! The private beach at the bottom of the property was beautiful and serene. Also, the bed was absolute bliss - something that often gets overlooked at baches!

  • Everything you could wish for in a holiday bach

Everything you could wish for in a holiday bach. Clean and comfortable home with amazing views over Orua Bay and into Tauranga Bay. The walk down to the beach from the hilltop bach was truly a wonderful experience.
