This is a great house with loads of space and everything you need for a really comfortable stay. It’s older and quirky but that suited us. The lawns and gardens could do with a bit of love but we weren’t too bothered by that
We would not choose to stay here again. The house, while spacious, is quite dark and dim (it was also uncomfortably hot). The town of Ross seems rather run-down, and I never felt altogether safe. The interior of the house was clean, but the trash outside was near to overflowing and there was dog poop in the driveway. Tourists would be well advised to stay in nearby Hokitika, with its ample amenities.
Beautiful property which a group of 6 stayed at over Christmas Eve, Day and left on Boxing Day. The house is really big on the inside, with so many bedrooms and beds, enough to sleep 2 or 3 families! The barbecue and decking outside are great, there are numerous toys and games to keep children occupied, and good kitchen facilities. Only one bathroom. Basic TV and channels. Unsure of the surrounding area as we stayed in the property for the whole time!
