Bach or holiday home | Clyde | #24869
More than just a bed for the night, Peekskill is full of history, colour, art, books, movies, games and toys. While the house is old, it is light, airy and spacious with all new appliances, beds and bedding so you can experience the best of both worlds.
The fully fenced section boasts inviting outdoor spaces - a formal Victorian garden full of roses and lavender, the established orchard where you can soak up the Central sun in privacy or dine al fresco under the shade of the old pear tree while the kids bounce on the ground level trampoline.
There is plenty of parking under the huge walnut trees at the back, where you can also play petanque.
Queenstown and Wanaka are only an hour's drive away and closer by are many other attractions eg vineyards, goldfields heritage, conservation parks, alpine meadows of the Old Man Range, mountain biking areas, the new bike trial down the Roxburgh Gorge, Lake Dunstan and the Highland Motorsport Park in Cromwell.

It is an amazing historic home but with all the comforts of modern living including very efficient central heating beautifully blended into it. The location of the property being only 2 doors away from the local general store was very handy. Thank you Deb for sharing your family history. Our stay was unique. G, H, N& B Dunedin
The house has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. From the complete kitchen, to the many living spaces and heating, you could easily stay at Peekskill for weeks! There are keepsakes of Clyde's history throughout the house. Modern amenities have been included, yet work in well with original parts of the house. We would love to stay here again when we're next in Clyde.
It felt like a privilege to stay in such a beautiful family home, obviously well treasured and loved. So much history and character, both inside and out, and something for everyone staying - from the toys and trampoline, to the claw footed bath and conservatory for the morning sun. A perfect stay, and we'd love to come again. Many thanks for having us!
