Bach or holiday home | Piha | #25096
Guests love Eibsee Cottage (named after a lake in the German Alps where the owners spent their weekends before returning to NZ), because of its great location - across the road from the best Surf Beach in NZ - facing North West for sun and sunsets - so you can walk to the café, park, beaches and bushwalks and not have to use your car again once you have arrived. The large 70 m2 deck at the rear of the section, underneath 2 of the oldest Pohutukawa trees in Piha, looks out to sea with 270 views and the perfect place to have a long lunch or spend the evening around the recycled teak dinning table that sits 10. There are 3 decks and the front of the bach is floor to ceiling glass giving you great indoor/outdoor flow. The original bach, whilst upgraded, has kept true to its 100 year old heritage and has been decorated with much Kiwiana and Kiwi-kitsch for a truly memorable holiday experience. Please note this is a Kiwi bach - so whilst functional and clean, the bathroom and toilet isn't 5 star luxury. The large 1300 m2 section is mainly grassed, is well fenced and has a large 13 ft x 8 ft SpringFree Tramp to keep the kids entertained and on the property whilst parents use the Free WiFi and SkyTV.
NOTE: The sleep out has a minimum $100, plus cleaning, cost per night.

The location of this property is amazing. This is our second time staying here with our three boys and we'll definitely be back. I love that the owners have maintained the rustic and classic-kiwi-bach-like qualities. The place gets lots of sun, has tonnes of grass space and you can't beat the view and cool breeze from the large elevated deck under the huge pohutukawas behind the house.
Had a truly wonderful time here - 3 nights. Gorgeous classic kiwi bach. Beautifully maintained. So close to the beach. Fabulous to be lying in bed listening to the ocean. Fantastic place for the kids. Lots of rope swings for kids to enjoy, trampoline, great trees for climbing. Kids paradise. Sad to be leaving today, so we will be back again for sure.
