I loved the position of this very cute cottage in the heart of Akaroa. The cottage has lots of character with basic kitchen and bathroom facilities, which were sufficient but challenging for my elderly parents. A very dangerous element which would not/could not be turned off on the cook-top and a shower over the bath were the two down falls of this otherwise good bach. Bob the dog was very happy watching the people on the street walking past safely contained within the well fenced safe garden.
Wonderful location. Enjoyed the modern furnishings. So wonderful to have a place to stay and take our dog. Appreciated the 2 large fans with the extremely hot weather. When the weather got very cold, the duvet in the bunk room was not enough, suggest you take a warm blanket. The queen size bed had enough blankets. The use of a electric plug board sitting next to a cooking ring is concerning. Would highly recommend this house as a lovely place for the holidays. We plan to come back again.
