An open plan environment that comfortably sleeps 9 this is the ideal stop for those venturing the Remutaka Cycle Trail or just wanting a weekend away from it all! This peaceful and beautiful environment is a great family getaway location.

Take a walk (or moutainbike ride) on the block of land around the woolshed and enjoy all that the New Zealand landscape has to offer - great views, native forest, beech forest, pine forest, rolling paddocks and stunning birdlife.

We also offer an awesome bike hire experience - fat tyre electric bikes! These bikes are great for exploring the area - Pounui Wetlands, Onoke Spit, Ocean Beach. These bikes are designed for enjoying the great outdoors.

The woolshed is located 6kms from the majestic South Coast: Ocean Beach.

The Woolshed turned out to be a great place for a break, and was so quick and easy to get to, as well as being well set up. It's location, with views over gorgeous wetlands to the lake and sea, was ideal. Hiring a couple of ebikes and bringing a couple of our own mountain bikes, adults and teens enjoyed exploring the property and venturing into the wetlands and out to Ocean Beach. We loved it and will be back.

  • Everything you need and nothing you don’t

Everything you need and nothing you don’t. It’s a lot tidier than a wool aged but maintains a wool shed / rustic feel. My boys love it.

  • Lovely location with views over water and mountains

Lovely location with views over water and mountains. Effort has been put into developing tracks for mountain bikes and walkers through regenerating beech/kanuka forest and open paddock. House well equipped and comfortable. Open plan living. Fat tyre e-bikes were great fun, easy for non MTB riders to manage with good rides from the door.
