Bach or holiday home | Punakaiki | #25482
This Bach is on a back section, it's large and very good for kids.
It has a huge sand pit, and an outside table that fits 18 people.
An easy 1 minute walk to the tavern; the meals are good pub food.
You can walk everywhere from this central location.
There is an outdoor fire where we have spent many a night watching the stars and having a quiet beer.
Punakaiki is the home of the famous Pancake Rocks. It's rivers are clean and very safe for swimming.
This is a real kiwi bach, currently being done up and is 90% of the way through, however, it is not by any stretch the work of a master tradesman and is still being renovated ( as all REAL kiwi batches are! )
The accommodation is warm, dry and has a homely feel. Tidy bathroom, good hot water pressure, a new oven, tidy kitchen, great open plan living space with a multifuel fire.

The Bach was in a good spot, and the kitchen was well appointed. However got a bit of a shock at the amateurish building of the Bach. The ceiling was composed of many different building materials and in general there was a lot of maintenance needed on the property.
