Wonderfully peaceful little spot with lots to do in and around the Bay and between the Bach and Haast. Lunch at the nearby iconic ‘caravan’ is a must ! Bach itself is welcoming and great for very easy living ! Highly recommended for a no-fuss holiday.

  • Fantastic house in idyllic location

Fantastic house in idyllic location. In the winter you look across the sea to the snow covered Southern Alps. Kereru, tuis, bellbirds and tomtis in the garden.

  • One of the best baches we have stayed in

One of the best baches we have stayed in. Even the kids never missed their electronics as so much to do outside. The bach was warm and cosy and just perfect for Jackson Bay. Absolutely loved it.

A perfect bach in Jackson Bay! A warm, cosy and very well equipped house with beautiful views out to the bay. We enjoyed walking, fishing, boating and relaxing in the sunshine. Sadly The Craypot was shut but all this means is that we will have to come back! Thank you to the Wallis family for letting us stay and explore this unique area.
