  • Beautiful views out over the lake with doors that open right back...

Beautiful views out over the lake with doors that open right back to enjoy the view. Native birds sitting in the trees that are right up to the house, we even had a kereru fly right into the lounge. It was huge and drunk on berries, but we guided it out! Wonderful spot for a couple to get away to - which is why we were there! (Quirky and cute hobbit-like bunkroom for the kids if yours are confident with high sleeping spaces.)

  • It is tranquil and set amongst the ponga trees and natural bush

It is tranquil and set amongst the ponga trees and natural bush. It has an incredible view of the lake and it is very private. The house has a good air flow going through the house to cool it down. It's floor to ceiling windows makes you feel like you are living in the trees. The sleeping arrangements are quirky and not particularly safe esp. for children. I think clients need to know about the bunks and the 1/2 bed in the bottom room. Pukawa Bay is idyllic and natural - long may it last.
