  • Magnificent views up Queen Charlotte Sound
  • Peaceful and scerene setting
  • Close proximity to a wealth of attractions

The slight elevation of this private property enables magnificent views right up Queen Charlotte Sound and also across to the Grove Arm and the start of the Queen Charlotte track. In the distance you can see as far as the ferries heading toward Tory Channel.

The house is fully equipped for year round enjoyment with a kitchen, television, VCR, DVD player, stereo (iPod docking) BBQ, and full laundry facilities. It is a 400-metre walk to the jetty at Tirimoana and a ten minute walk to Anikiwa and the start of the Queen Charlotte track.

The sheltered beaches and bays of the area are ideal for swimming or kayaking and are home to many fish, sea birds, dolphins and world famous Sounds scallops. There's a small private bush walk on the property and from the deck you can look down to our own private mooring, which can be made available for your use.

It’s a five minute drive to the nearest garage/dairy and the ‘Country Inn’ with pub meals and off sales. Enjoy the tranquility, or explore the nearby towns of Havelock (15 mins. - 18.5km), Picton (30 mins - 23.5km), Blenheim’s vineyards (40 mins) and Nelson (75 mins).

The property is ideal throughout the year. A haven during the summer and a well insulated sun trap to enjoy the stunning winter days in the Sounds.

Special conditions: You are welcome to bring your own linen, or hire ours for a small fee. Stays of less than 3 nights incur a $35 cleaning fee. Longer term rates are also available.

  • A 5 Star view

A 5 Star view. Perfect little bach for a weekend get away. Close to the water which was great as we were taking the boat out. The BBQ worked a treat and the visiting Wekas made for a nice surprise. Thanks again, would recommend.

The location was perfect - high enough for gorgeous views, close enough to walk to the water and walkway. Tirimoana was so serene, so relaxing with plenty of birdlife. The house has everything needed for comfort and convenience, and we appreciated arriving in the dark to find lights on and the house warm. A great bach! Thanks.

Lovely location and a nice property, our kids loved been visited by the local Weka. The weather was not the best during our stay but there is still plenty to do, house is set up well for small children with toys etc. Negatives were the DVD player is from overseas and is compatible for zone 3 DVD's only and the queen size bed is about as hard as the floor, a updated bed would help Mum and Dad recover from a all the activities around the sounds readying you for a new day.
