Bach or holiday home | Westland District | #27499
Hannah's Clearing is in the heart of the Haast wilderness, offering
hunting, fishing, cray and whitebait.
For those wishing to get off the beaten track there are numerous walks into the rain-forest. In season the nearby lakes and rivers offer up salmon and trout.
The rivers offer jet-boaters the opportunity to view the country from a different perspective, and local companies offer excursions.
There are two pubs about 15 mins drive, typical West Coast hospitality with wholesome meals and boasting locally shot trophy heads.
Local helicopter pilots fly hunters and adventurers deep into the
Southern Alps or Fjordland Sounds.
So get away from the hustle and bustle of life with no TV, internet or cellphone coverage and revel in the beauty and laid-back life of one of New Zealand's last wildernesses.

We used this place as a stop over, arrived late and left early, but wish we had more time there as it was a lovely wee place. So homely and cosy with old school dvds and games. We could hear the sea but never found how to get to the beach ! Was great to be able to take the dogs with us too. Thanks for sharing your lovely place with us. We hope to be back for longer next time.
