Bach or holiday home | Westland District | #27499
Hannah's Clearing is in the heart of the Haast wilderness, offering
hunting, fishing, cray and whitebait.
For those wishing to get off the beaten track there are numerous walks into the rain-forest. In season the nearby lakes and rivers offer up salmon and trout.
The rivers offer jet-boaters the opportunity to view the country from a different perspective, and local companies offer excursions.
There are two pubs about 15 mins drive, typical West Coast hospitality with wholesome meals and boasting locally shot trophy heads.
Local helicopter pilots fly hunters and adventurers deep into the
Southern Alps or Fjordland Sounds.
So get away from the hustle and bustle of life with no TV, internet or cellphone coverage and revel in the beauty and laid-back life of one of New Zealand's last wildernesses.

Amazing location. The house had all the necessities, and was clean and tidy. It was exactly as described in the information given- we knew to take bedding etc. It was easy to find and access. We even enjoyed a visit from a friendly neighbourhood dog. Easy access to a beautiful beach. We really enjoyed our stay here, and hope to return. Excellent value for money.
We really enjoyed our stay here, it's a well equipped house. Very close to the playground and short walk to the beach. Recommend driving down to Jacksons bay, great Fish and chips there and the cascade valley is totally beautiful. Even saw the dolphins at the beach.
