The cottage is lovingly maintained and very nicely appointed. The village of Ophir and the surrounding region are among the most captivating and interesting in my experiences of the South Island. I would recommend a stay here without qualification.
My wife especially loved it, SO in keeping with it's age, great old plates as wall decor. around etc., we used the teapot and it's cosy, but fresh, clean, homely, warm _ fire was lit and mozart playing quietly when we arrived.
