The Opunohu bay has been used for its beautiful scenery by numerous movies such as "La Bounty" in 1983, featuring Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins, "A love affair" in1993, with Warren Beatty, and "Les faussaires" in 1994, featuring Gérard Jugnot and Jean-Marc Barr.
Faré Upu sits on a large planted land borded by coconut trees and a white sand beach. Its spacious covered terrace permits to enjoy the open air polynesian way of living.
