Bach or holiday home | Tutukaka Coast | #29267
Built in the late 1950's, this beach front property was the first home in Dolphin Bay, sitting on 3.7 acres. With its position high on a ridge above the beach, the house has spectacular views of the surrounding coastline, the islands of the Tutukaka Coast and as far as Coromandel on a clear day.
The beach is a quick, two minute walk from the house through a private gate on the waterfront. Dolphin Bay is a pebble and sand bay with great spots for fishing and diving, as well as swimming and kayaking.
Tutukaka Marina is short 3km away, where you can book deep sea fishing, hire surfboards, or get a bite to eat at the water front bars and restaurants.
Northland's best beaches are within easy reach - Whangamumu (1km), Matapouri (5km), Sandy Bay (8km). These white sand beaches are the perfect place to spend a summer day with great surf and clear water perfect for surfing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and relaxing (with or without kids!).
The house has just been freshly renovated meaning new paint, new carpet and new furniture! There are three bedrooms in the main house, with two showers and two toilets, and a self contained cabin sits immediately behind the house. It can comfortably sleep twelve, making it a great family getaway. However, as there are relatively steep areas on the property it may not be suitable for toddlers.
The house (with three bedrooms) can be rented on its own. (The cabin will be left vacant.) During peak season the daily rate is $415.
Special conditions: Families preferred. The house sits on a ridge approx. 50 metres from the gate to the beach. The walk down takes approx. 2 minutes but is a little steep and may not be suitable for toddlers.

There is a spectacular view but The property itself is pretty rundown and was not overly clean when we arrived, especially the kitchen floor. The fridge would not stay closed so there were constantly large pools of water on the floor and food not cold enough. The main shower was badly clogged and flooded the bathroom when we used it. view was amazing but place needs sprucing up. Also no wifi which I missed when booking cause Other four houses booked on this trip had it. Long way for Groceries.
We loved this property, beautifully renovated with great facilities including two showers (excellent pressure) and two toilets, spectacular views from every room make this property feel like luxury accommodation. The cabin which can be booked as well is equally well appointed. We loved the area, we kept our boat in a berth at the marina, snorkeling in Dolphin Bay right in front of the house and visiting Matapouri, the Poor Knights and lunch at the Marina. Very keen to book another holiday.
