There were no problems here...It was like stepping back into the past, and what you would expect for a home of this age ... convenient and close with everything you need ..comfortable beds and a good hot water supply ... for a larger group possibly a table and benches in the kitchen area would make the stay a bit more comfortable and the food etc. removed from the fridge/freezer ... perhaps instructions on how to use the TV ... overall it was a good stay
The house coped well with 8 adults (4 couples) having 2 bathrooms and the bedrooms all a good size. Well catered for everything you needed to cook with. Great location to everything and just a short walk into the main shopping/eating area of Akaroa. Fun to stay in a restored historic house but with modern facilities where needed and a credit to the owners for their restoration work. Would recommend this house to others looking for a change in accommodation style from your regular house/home.
Location great and the house amazing but spoilt by the very messy outside weeds and grass very long with furniture all over the place. Would love to have seen it tidy. Also inside leftover soaps, make up , containers left lying around - felt thry should be thrown out. Loved our stay however.
