The house is lovely fantastic views but very exposed, we found no bbq and no seating outside at all which was very disappointing for the outside experience. Sadly the cleanliness of the house was well below what we have experienced in the past, and the bed was very hard and the dust and spider webs were ever where.
This is an exceptional place to stay to get away from the new world. The views to the sea and mountains and of the neighboring sheep paddock are tranquility itself. The house is beautifully sited on a bluff on the very edge of the village of Orepuki. It is quite modern and spotlessly maintained, with large expanses of glass to take maximum advantage of the great views. Highest marks for this property and the hosts !!!
We were booked for 3 nights. The overpowering smell of cigarette smoke, the lack of curtains in the 2nd bedroom and the lack of cotton sheeting were all a bit of a turnoff but by the afternoon of day 2, when the sun was pouring in and all the doors were open, we were much more enthusiastic. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are fine, the distant view pleasing.
