This homestay is situated at the tiny village of Pirinoa,

next door to the local tennis courts. It is a very short walk down for a delicious espresso in the newly opened The Land Girl(closed June-September). Have a bacon and egg roll for brunch, a hot chocolate for the kids or choose a unique gift from the shop.

A stones throw from historical Lake Ferry Hotel and the lake and mouth to the sea.

Take a 20 minute drive out to Cape Palliser and visit the fishing village Ngawi and the seal colony or take a walk along the rustic coast line. A short 15 minute drive for a coffee into Martinborough and 30 minutes to the shops in Greytown.

The farmhouse is only 20 minutes drive into Martinborough and the ideal spot to bring the family for that out-of-town experience.

Property was super lovely to stay in, really tidy and accomodating to big groups of people. Nice and toasty to stay in with the fire going and the morning sunrise looked awesome from the bedroom windows :)

  • Awesome bach, lots of space, mordern and nicely decorated

Awesome bach, lots of space, mordern and nicely decorated. All our friends raved about it. They enjoyed using the vintage raquettes and playing tennis on the tennis field just next door, the very short drive to Lake Ferry for lunch or cycling/wine-tasting the Wairarapa vineyards. Awesome place for a weekend with friends.

Great homestay property in a lovely location that has the advantage of a well-equipped general store, local tennis courts and fabulous cafe with great coffee and delicious light meals and cakes from Thursday to Sunday. Surrounded by fields of cows yet very handy for Martinborough and Cape Palister. The cottage was very cosy, well furnished and laid out, with everything we could possibly need. The kitchen is well equipped, wooodburner is powerful and the beds all very comfortable. Will return.
