Description

  • Stunning views over Lake Rotoiti.
  • Tranquility and birdsong
  • Sandy beach and Kayaks

One of two Baches on this large section situated on the lakefront with stunning views over Lake Rotoiti.

Large deck overlooking the lake, mezzanine floor - a lake view from just about every room!

The three double beds are in an open plan area on the mezzanine floor. This area is semi partitioned for privacy.

There is a bunk room under the deck which is only suitable for summer time containing a double bunk and a single bed.

Close to Hells Gate and a boat ride to the hot springs - great spot for water skiing, fishing, sailing or just lounging around!! There is no TV reception but plenty of other things to do!

Access is via a metal road through the Tikitere Forest.

Off road parking.

Boats:

There is NO JETTY but a boat mooring is available for use and the boat ramp is 150m down the road.

Please let us know if you want to use the boat mooring at the time of booking.

There is room for a boat to park off the road but we recommend a 4 wheel drive for the parking area in front of the Bach, as the drive entry is quite steep. Most people are happy to park their boat trailers on the roadside above the Bach.

Children:

The property is not suitable for people with small children (under 5's) as there is a large internal staircase leading up to a mezzanine floor. The beds are on the mezzanine floor and this area is high above the lounge, we do not think this area is safe for small children

Pets by arrangement, please check with me and get the OK if you want to bring your dog.

Please leave the Bach clean and tidy.

Special conditions: 2 nights minimum stay. 50% deposit required to secure the booking.

    Owner/manager responds:

Thanks for the heads up on BBQ, its cleaned after every stay but we had not looked under the hotplate and yes one of jets has rusted away, new BBQ arriving tomorrow. There was a full gas bottle available - under the deck. There are areas where the floorboards have been patched, to the best of my knowledge there are no rotten ones but I will get them checked. This is a basic kiwi Bach on the Lake - you had 6 people and 2 dogs for $170 (peak rate) a night.

We had a wonderful weekend stay in this bach which has the most amazing outlook from the deck onto the lake. We launched the boat and left it moored down in front, which was really great. Tip for boaties is launch the boat first from the ramp, don't bring up road by the bach, difficult to turn. Thanks Penny we had a great time.

    Owner/manager responds:

The road by the Bach is a ring road so there is no need to turn around if you need to go around to the boat ramp.

  • Nice and simple bach, if you want a quiet and natural setup

Nice and simple bach, if you want a quiet and natural setup. This is the place to stay in rotorua. Please make sure you stock up everything before arriving as things are bit far from the location.

A great place to stay and in a gorgeous location. The bach is well equipped and has everything that you need to feel at home. Lots of things to do without straying very far. Very welcoming hosts.
