Nestled on a hill side with a native bush backdrop and facing north east for all day sun, this stunning beach home has uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean.

Set on just over one hectare and offering four bedrooms and a garage studio (with two queen beds), including the master with ensuite and spectacular views from every room. Larger groups can sleep ten comfortably with five queen beds and a set of bunks with a trundler bed.

As the focal point of the house the main living area, with wide windows and glass sliding doors provide panoramic views from the Poor Knights Islands in the Northeast, Mokohinau Islands, Hen and Chick Islands and on a clear day the Great Barrier Island.

Outdoor living is enhanced by expansive timber decks which flow seamlessly from the open plan living. Enjoy the fresh sea air while dining alfresco.

  • The Lookout was absolutely stunning

    The Lookout was absolutely stunning. The views and the property itself was well worth it. Enjoyed the amenities like the barbecue, spa pool, the deck and everything else. I would have given it five stars if not for the water pressure in both bathrooms. Apart from that this place was stunning and good value for money.

    Beautiful remote location but felt that property was in need of some attention - little run down - spa was tired, so was the outdoor furniture and the sun umbrella very unstable and dangerous We found cigarette butts both inside the house and outside.

    Thanks for your feedback! I will pass on the concerns re the outdoor furniture and the umbrella to the owner. The spa is serviced every two weeks, and regularly emptied. My apologies that there were cigarette butts left on the property. We have a strict "no smoking inside" policy and expect guests to respect that.

    The 100km/h limit sign going up to ody road should removed as it does not have any use. No one will go more than 40km on an unsealed/dusty road. We got a heads up that there will no phone signal on the property but having one would be good. Not sure why there's none being at a very high area.
