Bach or holiday home | Parua Bay | #32439
This property and home is so welcoming that you may find it hard to venture out. Located on a beautiful lifestyle property on a kiwi reserve, the nook is a very quiet and extremely relaxing place to be.
There is easy access to a private beach out the front. The beach is very safe for swimming and has shade. Arrive by boat and anchor in the bay.
The Nook Reserve is located nearby and makes a fun short walk or spot for a swim, with lovely photo opportunities. This reserve is approx. a 15 minute walk away or 3 minute drive. The reserve includes a beautiful sandy beach. A short walk further around the rocks is a good fishing spot.
Parua Bay Village is less than a ten minute drive back towards Whangarei township. A gas station, Four Square, cafe, liquor store and bakery are conveniently located there.
The Parua Bay Tavern is approx. a 10 minute drive away, this popular pub and restaurant offers good family fare with an outstanding vista across the bay. Across the road is the Parua Bay Fish n Chip shop.
Nearby is the beautiful Ocean Beach (20 Mins drive away) with plenty of rock fishing spots on the way.
The Deck cafe offers roasts on Sunday and good coffee and cafe meals during the day.
Pataua South is approx. 15 minute drive away and is a picturesque seaside holiday destination. Enjoy the beautiful estuary for a swim or a stroll. Or take a walk across the footbridge to Pataua North Beach to the mouth of the estuary and take in the breath taking ocean beach.
Treasure Island Camp-ground at the southern end of Pataua has a small shop and fantastic fish and chips.
For those interested in walking or trekking are spoilt for choice. The breath-taking Bream Head (Te Whara) Department of Conservation walk offers a view of rare flora and fauna (including rata trees, flowers and the North Island Kaka). This walk boasts beautiful views of Ruakaka Beach, Bream tail and the Poor Knights Islands.
Mount Manaia track is a little beauty, for those with a little extra fitness level the view is well worth the 45 minute climb along the well constructed track.

This can be done by not bringing plastic bags and trying to avoid single use plastic during your stay. Please also place all recyclables into recycling bin and ensure your recycling is put out on a Sunday evening.
We also use paper rubbish bags, these can be found in the bottom drawer in kitchen, there are council stickers for rubbish bag collection in the same drawer.
We do not use plastic bag bin liners but instead use a bag which can easily be wiped clean after the bin is emptied.

We loved our stay, typical kiwi bach, nothing flash but a pure hidden gem with SPECTACULAR views! We felt like we were on a boat, that's how close you are to the water. Fantastic and we would love to come back again! Thanks Brenda for a memorable stay!
