  • Lakefront site -- relax and enjoy the view, or take a dip in the beautiful waters of Lake Rotorua
  • Handy to activities, trails, shops and an award-winning spa resort
  • Only 10 minutes to Rotorua CBD and only 7 minutes to the Redwoods entrance to Whakarewarewa forest

Come and enjoy a lakeside slice of heaven!

This cosy, fully furnished bach is a perfect getaway spot for couples, families or small groups of friends.

The handy location on the eastern shores of Lake Rotorua is perfect for any type of holiday, whatever your pace:

- relax in the sun-soaked window seats with a good book, your favourite drink and a beautiful view of the lake and Mokaia Island

- swim and play in the clean, clear waters of Lake Rotorua (the shallow water and sandy lakebed are safe and pleasant for all ages) literally a stone's throw from the front door

- refuel on the deck (in summer) or warm up in front of the woodburner (in winter) after a fun-filled day exploring some of the world's best mountain biking trails and walking tracks.

For families with young children, the property is fully fenced and the house is stocked with essentials (high chair, changing table, baby bath, safety latches for cupboards/drawers). To keep the little ones happy and busy, there's a big trampoline, kid-friendly books and games, a tricycle and scooter (but BYO helmets) and a child-size kayak and several lifejackets. Nearby, there's a steam engine museum, the big Hannahs Bay playground, and a covered and heated swimming pool.

For couples, we highly recommend getting a massage, spa treatment and/or dining at the Waiora Resort, less than 100 metres away.

For adventurers, there is a secure garage with space to safely store bicycles and other sporting equipment without cluttering up the house.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make your own meals, while the gas BBQ is great for grilling up a feed. Alternatively, if you want to eat out or get takeaways, there's a wide range of options within 5-10 minutes drive.

There's no TV (ideal if you want to unplug and enjoy our board games, jigsaw puzzles and the growing collection of books) but we have unlimited wifi for those who bring their own device/s.

Special conditions: Families preferred. Pets allowed with prior approval and payment of $150 refundable pet bond. We may charge a refundable bond to guests who don't yet have a sufficient amount of positive feedback.

Lovely lovely lovely!!!! What a beautiful place to stay!! Great for families. The house was full stocked with all the essentials you would need to cook and have a lovely time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there our daughter loved the trampoline in the garden and feeding the ducks right outside the back of the house. Thankyou so much for allowing us to stay here we already can't wait to go back

Lovely lakefront bach, located down a driveway in a quiet bay. The place is fully fenced and is perfect if you want to take your furry friend on holiday with you. Nice hot shower and comfy beds. Bay windows overlooking the lake are perfect spots to catch that afternoon sun or evening sunset. The location is convenient and is close to amenities (e.g. four square, butcher and fruit/vege shops). We felt well rested after staying two nights here.

The bach is very clean, well stocked, and well maintained, and the stay would have been perfect if not for a minor issue with the hot water which Patric dealt with right away. We really liked being on the lake and the wood-burning stove made the place very cozy.
