Atiamuri’s the perfect playground for an adventure weekend. The village is located on Lake Atiamuri and the bach is 800m from the boat ramp with other popular wakeboarding/ watersport lakes on its doorstep (Lake Taupo, the Rotorua Lakes, Lake Whakamaru, Lake Ohakuri and Lake Maraetai). If you are keen to try wakeboarding but don’t have your own boat, Anarchy Boarding Park is approximately 25 minutes away at Wairakei.

Atiamuri’s at the end of The Waikato River Bike Trail (end of the very scenic Whakamaru section) making it the perfect location for biking enthusiasts. Taupo, Rotorua and Tokoroa are also nearby popular Mountain Biking playgrounds.

You are centrally located between Taupo (37kms, 30mins) and Rotorua (41kms, 30mins) so other activities are just a short drive away eg. Taupo Bungy, Huka falls jet boating, rotorua zorb & luge, etc

If it’s R ‘n R you are looking for – look no further as the bach is situated with sunning rural views including a peak of the lake and boats, and is in a quiet location. Bring your wine, sit on the deck and watch the day pass by while the kids run on the front lawn. Nearby activities for your R ‘n R weekend include various golf courses, various walks, soaking in the Wairakei Terraces or De Bretts Hot Pools, etc

The “Pukeko and Bull” café/ store/ bottle store/ pub is a 5 min drive and is well stocked for those items you might have forgotten. The petrol station is just a little further north along SH1.

The bach was built in the 1950’s and is spacious with a large open plan kitchen and lounge with comfortable furniture and includes a 4th bedroom/rumpus room for the kids. It has recently been painted inside and out and has everything you need for your weekend away. If the night temperature drops – light the fire, which is conveniently well accompanied with a glass of red wine, or hot drink.

The village also offers a child’s playground which is a short 5min walk from the bach.

  • Property is sound dry and spacious

Property is sound dry and spacious.location is beautiful. However, this being an area with many outdoor pursuits available and in any situation really, it is essential to me to be able to come home to hot water on demand, plenty of it & at good pressure. This was not the case. Hence my below average rating. Regards Mark
