Bach or holiday home | Invercargill City | #33203
Please be aware that this is a private home.
I do my best to make it comfortable for my guests and of course everything will be set, cleaned and welcoming prepared for you.
The beds have fresh and new bedding on it every time, while I don't put on a top sheet as the duvet covers get washed as the rest, every time. That confused so far 3 people.
Through renovations, there are some sprinkles or dots of paint on some of the floors in the kitchen and one bathroom ( this is not dirt or anything that has not been cleaned).
If anyone booking a holiday home expects a hotel/ motel they should probably book one and pay the extra money.
I am very happy to have welcomed a lot of lovely people that were satisfied with their stay.
Because of the few others I felt I need to write this to prevent disappointment on your or my side.
There has been damage on the bench top (burn mark) and carpet.
I am going through the insurance process at the moment.
Please take care of my house and furnishings, not to ruin it for others.
So far I did not raise pricing and did not charge bonds and would like to keep it that way.Get ready for a comfortable stay at this character home.
Enjoy the woodburner and the clawfoot bath on a special southland day.
Take in the modern and traditional elements and kick back.
You got the river walk near by, also Thomsons Bush and Andersons Park.
Close to shops, the "Golden Mile" and Queens Park.
The City Center is close from anywhere in Invercargill, but if you want to see something different you should have a look at Demolition World

Make sure to visit Louis Tapas Bar, the Invercargill Brewery, Escape Glass, Zeitgeist Joinery Gallery and if you are up for a drive down the western coast you might want to stop at Orepuki Beach Cafe.

The property was nice and as described with a few hitches. True it was not a hotel but there a few things that need attention. The airconditioner was not working and the living room had no drapes on the windows - so it was cold despite the fire and the electric oil heater that was provided. The lighting in some of the rooms was very poor and should be easily upgraded with better & more bulbs . Two bedside lights per bed, would also add inexpensive comfort. Otherwise nice.
Great house, loved the fit-out in the kitchen and living room. Heat pump wasn't working at the time of our visit but the fireplace was lovely and heaps of fire wood available. Only downside was that the beds seemed quite old and the blankets could be a bit thicker for the winter time.
