The Kai Iwi Lakes are about 30 min drive away and are a beloved Northland destination for swimming, waterskiing, troutfishing and boating.

The nearby Maunganui Bluff walk is a 3-4hour return hike and offers stunning views along the coastline and over the North Kaipara.

  • A beautiful rural retreat

A beautiful rural retreat. We really enjoyed getting off the beaten track and taking in the farm views and stars. The house itself is beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, modern and warm.

  • This is certainly a cosy farmhouse, despite one night of wild winds...

This is certainly a cosy farmhouse, despite one night of wild winds and rain, we were snug as a bug. Very comfy and relaxing. Beautifully scenic, surrounded by rolling hills, this is an escape. You do need your own supplies though, so stock up in Dargaville.

  • Location was in the old farm house

Location was in the old farm house. Limited services available. Long way to get anything. Place was clean, but 3days of rain was constant.

  • Once again our cottage stay was amazing

Once again our cottage stay was amazing. The kids loved walking around the farm in the morning, body boarding at Baylys beach in the afternoon and then seeing kiwi in the evening during our guided park walk. This is a great get-away spot with all the conveniences of home in the cottage. I would recommend to all. Thanks.
