Bach or holiday home | Dunedin Area | #33380
Just 45 minutes from Dunedin City, between Outram and Lawrence you will find this
lakeside bach in a small fishing village. This is value for money that the family can afford.
This bach sits high overlooking the lake where perch and trout are there for the catching or take the dinghy out for a
row and explore the nearby islands. Hike the nearby forestry tracks that skirt the lake or bring your mountain bikes for miles of tracks through the pine forest.
If you just want to relax, sit on the veranda and read your book,
then have a meal cooked on the Bar-b-que. Kids can safely swim in the lagoon just 2 minutes away. Wander by the other huts and say hi to the locals.
At night go outside and check out the night sky. With no street light pollution
you will be amazed at the amount of stars you will see, or relax in front of the TV watching your DVDs or freeview.
Take any afternoon drive to nearby Lawrence for a great pub meal (best chips around) and visit the historical gold fields.
Take a picnic down to the Hydro dam and spend some time exploring the area.
15min up the road is the wind farm, get up close to these giants and enjoy the views of the rolling hills.

Lovely spot. But not quite what I was after. .I read toddler safe.. I disagree just a meter from the deck is a massive drop into deep water.. yes fenced but toddlers are quick and like adventure they can go under.. or over it.. scary.. I couldn't relax. the water stunning but goes from shallow to deep very quick.. around the village. . Is unfenced with drops. So need to have toddlers at arms reach at all times. . Not much of grass areas to play at all.. we struggled to play cricket etc
