Once a small old miners cottage, the property has been added to over the years, and is centrally located to great amenities. It still has the old character but recently renovated with modern facilities. Set against a hill, there are excellent views over Thames.

Grahamstown is the oldest part of Thames, which was a thriving gold-mining town back in its heyday. There are plenty of museums, old buildings and places of interest to see in the area. The Wharf has an excellent fish and chip shop. Grahamestown has a vast array of cafes and restaurants and the GBD (Grahamstown Bar and Diner) is definitely one not to miss. The is a Tourist Information site in the centre of town to help you organise your holiday - whether it be sailing, fishing, cycling, tramping or exploring by bus or car. The Coromandel is an area full of natural beauty and an abundance of flora and fauna.

Thames is just 1hr 20 minutes drive from central Auckland, and convenient to Rotorua, Tauranga, Hamilton and the Coromandel.

The Bella Street property has two decks - one off the lounge to view the town from a slightly elevated position, and a deck to the side of the property with a fenced off garden and steps up to private land where you can explore or just find a vantage point and sit and enjoy the view of the Thames area. If you've never been to this part of the Waikato, it's a great way to start exploring and enjoying Thames.

Special conditions: As the property is set against the hillside, there are steps to the property, with no wheelchair access. Small children would need to be monitor in the grounds due to the steps. The single bed has another single bed underneath that pulls out for use as two singles or push together to make a queen double. The double sofa bed can be moved into the lounge for extra room if necessary. There is a double blow-up mattress that can also be used in the sunroom for more accommodation.

    Very convenient location. Cute old cottage with modern bathrooms and kitchen. Well equipped and sunny. Uneven stairs to the front door and steep, short stairs inside - not suitable for the unsteady or accident-prone!

    Great location, very easy walk to town. House is quiet and spacious and bed was comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-equipped and modern. We had a very nice stay.
