Bach or holiday home | Taylors Mistake | #33824
This little gem is hidden on the hillside overlooking the beach and Taylors Mistake Bay. Plenty of beach time action to watch from the privacy and quiet of the front deck and lawn area but if you need a swim the path from the front garden leads you down to the safe surf beach. The classic cottage comes with off street parking but there are 60 steps down to the bach. The property is only suitable for those who are capable of stairs, however the access means you are totally private and away from the world. A perfect place to unwind and recharge! If you love coastal scenes, wonderful walking tracks, uninterrupted views, the noise of rolling surf this is the place for you!
Special conditions: Please note the stairs leading to the house are steep and may not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty walking down or up a steep grade.

Absolutely loved this simple private Bach with panoramic views and sounds of ocean. A short trip to nz from Melbourne and would absolutely do again. Direct access to beach down more steps was fantastic as too though was the horizon view fro the bed particularly watching the sunrise without having to get up!
Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Don't mind rustic but found this place well below that. Shower doesn't work apart from a trickle of water. Overall condition of decks and handrails is not safe, health and safety would have a field day here. Would recommend the owner does some maintenance with rent money. Only thing that saved the place was Taylor's mistake beach.
This bach is in a beautiful location with fantastic views from both inside and out. We found it to be well equipped and warm. There is a tiered garden which has a direct path to the beach. Yes there are 60 steps to get to it and yes it's rustic, but it's also idyllic and we will certainly stay there again if we have the opportunity.
Thanks for the feedback Jason. I totally agree that the deck needs some work. The owners live abroad but are planning on getting work done on their next visit. I hope my listing description explains the stair access and I always try to reiterate this to guest enquiries. It's certainly not a place for the unfit or elderly!
