Love this place. Very comfortable, well appointed, relaxing, quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended.
The cottage, actually a converted school building built in 1880 and relocated in 1976, was immaculate, well cared for and presented. Our friendly hosts provided a freshly baked loaf of bread, bottle of milk and eggs on arrival as well as good advice on local attractions to visit. Those unexpected extras were much appreciated and enjoyed. The gardens provided a fabulous setting, within an attractive rural location. We were within easy access to town and nearby attractions such as Sanctuary Mountain, Maungatautari, one of the best places to see some of New Zealand's native birds.
The property was immaculate, well cared for and presented. The kitchen was well stocked down to a loaf of bread, bottle of milk and home baking, provided on arrival. Those little touches were much appreciated and enjoyed. The heat pumps in the bedroom and main room made the house cosy and warm, and homely, whilst it rained during our visit (which we did not mind). The gardens provided a fabulous setting, with surrounding countryside. Location was easy to find and close to town.
