Cottage | Rangitikei District | #34228
This cottage is ideal for those in the area for the night for an event and looking for somewhere to stay, but would make a great long weekend escape too. With plenty of activities in the area, it is also a suitable holiday destination.
The cottage was built in the 19th century as the Cookhouse, so was home to the person who cooked for all those who lived and worked on the farm. It is set in a garden with a variety of fruit trees, and if you visit in spring the verandah will be draped with the most magnificent wisteria.
The cottage is spacious with a huge kitchen, a Kent fire and an open fire.
We are located less than 15 minutes from Feilding, about 10 minutes from Bulls, and about 25 minutes from Palmerston North. Manfeild in Feilding is only around 15 kilometres away. Ideal location for those going to the Central Districts Field Days.
There is a golf course about 6 kilometres away, and we can provide you with access to the river for swimming. Both Bulls and Sanson offer fantastic antique shops and cafes and are within a 5 - 10 minute drive. Mt Lees Reserve is close by and has a 1-2 km well-maintained track through native bush.
You have to experience the tranquility of this cottage to believe it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, which is located in "working" country, bringing authenticity to the experience. The cottage had everything we needed including privacy and landscape views from every window. Mary and Harriet were both very responsive to our needs and made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend the cottage to others who are looking for a quite moment in the country.
The cottage is delightful! Such a beautiful, tranquil setting ... seeing the milky way at night with no interference from street or house lights is just stunning. The cottage is well equipped, beds very comfortable, the perfect place for friends or family get together. Spent most of our time in Palmerston North (25 min drive) where our family live but would have loved to have spent more time at the cottage just chilling. Our 2 (adult) boys loved sitting by the cows at bottom of garden!!
