Cottage | Rangitikei District | #34228
This cottage is ideal for those in the area for the night for an event and looking for somewhere to stay, but would make a great long weekend escape too. With plenty of activities in the area, it is also a suitable holiday destination.
The cottage was built in the 19th century as the Cookhouse, so was home to the person who cooked for all those who lived and worked on the farm. It is set in a garden with a variety of fruit trees, and if you visit in spring the verandah will be draped with the most magnificent wisteria.
The cottage is spacious with a huge kitchen, a Kent fire and an open fire.
We are located less than 15 minutes from Feilding, about 10 minutes from Bulls, and about 25 minutes from Palmerston North. Manfeild in Feilding is only around 15 kilometres away. Ideal location for those going to the Central Districts Field Days.
There is a golf course about 6 kilometres away, and we can provide you with access to the river for swimming. Both Bulls and Sanson offer fantastic antique shops and cafes and are within a 5 - 10 minute drive. Mt Lees Reserve is close by and has a 1-2 km well-maintained track through native bush.
You have to experience the tranquility of this cottage to believe it!

The property is 'gorgeous' very relaxing, lovely to sit and look at the rolling hills while sitting beside the fire. It is very peaceful and remote we did not see anybody while we were there - it was great ! We are hoping to go back it was so good.
Lovely rural location, super comfortable beds, beautiful linens and furnishing fabrics, lovely to have a real fireplace and plenty of firewood. clean and tidy, well cared for, roomy. Only suggestion is that it could be made a little bit cosier.
This property was really unique and attractive. It is very isolated, we only saw cows the whole three days we stayed. It has all the essentials (for cooking and sleeping) in a nice quality plus useful extras. The wood burner gave enough heat for late April evenings for most of the house, but the back room did need a boost from the electric heater kindly provided. We enjoyed apples and figs from the garden.
