The apartment has two rooms (one queen bed in each room) and a large luxurious bathroom + wellness area with private sauna. It is situated within the Port Hills in Christchurch, 10 minutes drive from the city centre. The Apartment has large panorama windows with a spectacular view to the city and the Southern Alps. The city lights at night are breathtaking. You'd have your own private deck and a separate entrance from the house. We provide a fantastic rich breakfast, including eggs your style.

Children are very welcome, cot bed and high chair available.

Guest Access

The guests will have an entire level of our house for themselves. They can access the apartment through a separate entrance. There is one separate bedroom with a queen bed, one middle room for living space (and an extra queen bed if you wish so) and a big modern bathroom with sauna and wellness area. The bathroom has underfloor heating and the living area has a powerful heatpump. We keep our apartment exceptionally clean and make sure that our guests feel cosy and at home.

Interaction with Guests

We love to make an effort to meet our guests' needs. We invite our guests for a breakfast in our upstairs dining room. We can arrange a time the night before. At all other times we will respect our guests privacy. Guests can use our washing machine and dryer.

Getting Around

We would definitely recommend a car. We also have the busline 140 which connects us with the inner city (and more). The bus stop is only 50 meters away from us.

Special conditions: We like guests to feel at home and to behave as if they were at home. No pets are allowed. No smoking. Please note that the second bedroom is both a bedroom and living area at the same time. Access from the first bedroom to the bathroom is via the second bedroom. This means that the apartment can sleep four people who are comfortable to be around each other. Since we are situated on the hills, there are a few stairs to walk down to our apartment.

    The location is approximately 1 mile from the CBD. We didn't have a car, so it was a bit of a walk for us, but we always felt safe getting around once we arrived via taxi, and the location is very good in such a spread-out city.. The apartment is on the top (3rd) floor, without a lift, so we developed some muscles getting our luggage up the exterior stairwell. Neither of these were an issue for us, but it might be good to note both things on your listing.

  • The apartment was presented beautifully

    The apartment was presented beautifully. Katrin was kind providing fruit, milk, and some other essentials, that just make your stay easier. Despite getting cooler (not quite cold) while we were in town the apartment was nice warm, even without the heater on. The location was great for my stay, and is walking distance to the centre of the city (about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace). It's not the best suburb, but it was quiet, and the people were friendly, even when walking back late.
