The photos really don't do this house any justice. When I arrived i was amazed at how big & beautiful this house was, let alone the insane view from all the balconies!!! Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice house for a weekend in Akaroa :)
We loved our stay in Akaroa with 4 adults and 6 kids. The house is as described in the blurb - it has a somewhat dated feel about the place and the driveway is quite steep to park on in wintery conditions. Views are stunning and the place warmed up nicely without using the fireplace which was a bonus in July! We cooked a roast for 10 people in the kitchen - everything we needed was there and plenty of room to sit and eat it also. Would stay again next time we are in Akaroa. Thanks Tony!
Fantastic view and location! It does not get 5 stars because although there are beds for 11 people, the house is not equipped for 11 people. If you have meals inside you can only seat maximum 8 people around the table. Also, it was not very clean when we arrived. Despite this we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back and would definitely recommend it to others.
