Bach or holiday home | Pelorus Sound | #35268
As Havelock was being established, Pioneer Lodge was built by one of the Township’s Founding Families. After a sympathetic refurbishment this property now offers well-appointed accommodations that match the views over the Pelorus Sound. Up to six people can enjoy the three bedrooms and if you need more space there is an independent cottage on the property that can accommodate a further 2 guests (please check for availability).
And if you wander the five minutes to the village you will find restaurants, cafes, a gallery, information centre, kayak tours, green lip mussel cruise, ships chandler (with boat hire), museum, tennis courts, 4Square, bowling club, Havelock Marina & launching ramp, bird watching, walkways,
Explore a little further out and you will discover the Pelorus River where parts of the ‘Hobbit’ movies were filmed, Canvastown where the rush of gold attracted people to the area, to the west is Nelson, to the East is Blenheim and in almost every direction you will find the fine grapes of Marlborough being processed into delicious portions for you to taste or take home. Picton has a combination movie theatre and aquarium and is especially irresistible to the children. Marlborough offers hunting and fishing in the surrounding areas.

As a family of 6 staying we were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for us all. The accommodation is well appointed and had all the necessities we needed for our stay. A beautiful location and views across the bay. Highly recommended.
