Rural, peaceful setting yet close to town and the area attractions.
Great place to base yourself for hiking, kayaking, boating, swimming, surfing or just relaxing and enjoying the peace.
Open planned hut, very cosy queen bed, wood burning fire, living area, shower and toilet.
The hut itself only has tea making facilities but we do have our Brew Room kitchen with 2 hobs, a fridge and a BBQ close by.
Feel free to wander around the gardens and pockets of bush on the property.
If the weather is nice we are happy to set you up with some chairs and a bonfire in the fire pit!
We live on site, our house is about 50 meters away so you have plenty of privacy.
We love to give information and suggestions about the area.
If you're lucky you might get to taste the home brew!
We are 20 mins from the township of Hokitika, in a rural setting under the southern alps.
5 minutes to Lake Kaniere scenic reserve.
10 minutes to Dorothy Falls.
20 minutes to Hokitika Town.
20 Minutes to Hokitika Gorge.
1 1/2 hrs from Punakaiki
2 hours from Franz Joseph Glacier.
This is the West Coast so there are sandflies, mosquitoes and other interesting, beautiful and annoying bugs so come prepared!
In season there are fresh herbs and sometimes extra produce from our organic garden.
There is free WIFI in the hut and near the kitchen.
Special conditions: Better suited to individuals or couples however could suit 2 friends or families with young babies.

Amazing property and location, it was just what we were after for a weekend away. We were pleased with the presentation of the hut and it felt like staying in a hotel in the country. It was also amazing waking up to the Alps and seeing the stars at night.
