This Butcher Shop is in the village of Whangamomona. A comfortable house for your stay here.

A fully furnished house with a fully stocked kitchen which will allow you to either eat here or eat out.

We bought this around 5 years ago and it has taken a while to get it renovated to what it is today. It was quite a job with not much going in the direction of how we wanted it to! But by this time we are very happy with how it is and hope that you are too.

Whangamomona is largely a place to relax and enjoy. Or you can go exploring the village and even walk the Whangamomona Road which is sure to please.

There are many points of history around this area with a lot of wonderful pictures to view in the McCluggage Store, right next door.

We have a library of books for you to enjoy reading and a good few magazines to get through. Games are stacked on the bookshelf for a fun night in.

Please note the cost for 1 person is $100 per night.

  • Had a lovely overnight stay

Had a lovely overnight stay. Very comfortable and lots of cute and thoughtful touches. Like the shower curtain rail and the curtain ties and the info books! Plenty of breakfast goodies thank you. Great history and sense of community in this place.

Awesome place to stay, in the middle of the Forgotten Highway and two doors down from the local pub. We came right in the middle of a freezing winter and were well supplied with firewood - we even found a bucket of extra after adventuring all day. The food supplied was awesome too! The locals welcomed us, we stumbled into the local publican son's 21st and were invited in, and Ceri was super easy to deal with and very accommodating. Will definitely be recommending to other friends!
