Bach or holiday home | Waikanae Beach | #35773
Nestled in the secluded Reikorangi Valley, surrounded by mature redwood, pines and poplar trees, lies a rural retreat waiting to be discovered. Native birds abound, and the sheep are grazing in the paddocks outside. Take a lazy stroll down to feed the ducks on the pond and indulge your senses along the way with all the different smells and sights that rural living allows for. With no neighbours within an easy 100 metres, or busy road near-by, privacy and peace comes easily here. A natural stream winds its way through the land, and the pool is a refreshingly good place to be in the hot summer months. Up at the house, there is ample space to relax and enjoy, from the large lounge area to the generous sunny kitchen. If you are so inclined, a guitar and piano are on hand to help melt the tension away. Help yourself to any produce in the garden during your stay as it makes us happy to share from our land to your dinner table. There is plenty to do for the kids here with the large swings outside in the backyard to the little playhouse in the front and all the paddocks and hills and forest areas to explore. Limited cellphone coverage allows for you to turn off your usual busy schedule and take advantage of what 'being in the country' is all about. The Mangaone track is close at hand, and its an easy 15 minute drive to Waikanae beach, or 7 minute drive to Waikanae cafes and shops.
NOTE: The pool is kept empty during the off peak season (April-Oct)

Teresa is a very lovely lady. Helpful and made us feel welcomed. A beautiful large private home, with a large swimming pool where we spent most of the time. It's truly nature at its best, a beautiful view of the mountains and it's just so peaceful. I've been places but this place is so calm, I felt so relaxed especially coming from the Auckland where the city is hectic! Loved our stay and I hope for us to be back again. Thank you Teresa and family.
If you want to stay somewhere that is isolated but not too far away this is the place for you. You can hear all the animals in the morning and throughout the day. the peacefulness of the farm environment is amazing and you truly feel as if you are in a different world here. Would definitely stay again.
This property was fantastic. It is a stunning location, and an awesome house. There are lots of areas to relax and soak up the peaceful setting. Inside is very well organised with everything you could want. It has a lovely homely feel. I totally recommend staying here. We loved it.
The property was spotlessly clean, it has such a welcoming feel and a stunning outlook. It was very much as described on the site and those who stay will not be disappointed. The pool area, the fire, the vegie garden, the visiting ducks, the family cat and the sheep in the paddock were a magnificent combination for our Christmas family holiday and one we will treasure.
