Our deck, as well as the lounge, is set up with speakers, and guests spend many hours sitting on the deck admiring the view, listening to their favourite music through their iPad.

As we live a few minutes from the house, we can assist/ guide our guests in how to manage our Eco house. As I am a keen fisherman, I am on hand to explain the tides and explain how to get to the best land- based fishing spots. There is a loft room, a mezzanine with 2 single beds, a large bedroom with a queen an

Guests can cook by on a wood fire, which also has a oven, with a little guidance. The fire is not only used is for cooking, but also is used to warm the house, and provides the house with hot water. Less than 45 minutes away from Auckland, Rakino is close to the big smoke but in reality a world apart. Great spot to change down a gear, and take it easy. The beaches are perfect for young kids, the fishing is fun, and the bach is very comfortable.
