  • Such a pretty spot to base ourselves to explore the Far North...

Such a pretty spot to base ourselves to explore the Far North and very handy to shops & restaurants at Mangonui. The sunsets were gorgeous. The bach is very private, has got a lovely pacific island feel to it & is equipped with everything you could need.

  • Unfortunately this is not a 3 bedroom house

Unfortunately this is not a 3 bedroom house. This is a one bedroom house with two additional self-contained bedrooms outside of the main house. You have to go outside to take a shower, go toilet in the middle of the night and to go to the main house. We were there with young children and we ended up having to sleep all in the one bedroom house because we could not let our kids sleep by themselves in a room where we would not be able to here them. I would not recommend this house to families.

  • Great bach and fantastic location

Great bach and fantastic location. Wasn't 100% ideal with a small child simply due to the fact that the main living in upstairs (with 1 bedroom) so unless you sleep your child upstairs, the only other bedrooms are downstairs with external access only. We slept Flynn in a portacot in the bathroom (which is large) upstairs. Apart from that it was a great stay.

  • Real kiwi bach on a beautiful location, overlooking the beach and bay

Real kiwi bach on a beautiful location, overlooking the beach and bay. We loved sitting at the veranda watching the sun go down. Quite some mosquito's, so insect repellent is a necessity. The penguin staying over under the deck was an interesting experience - they can be noisy!
