The contemporary heritage Apartment is adjoining to the Station Lodge; completely self contained and keeping in character to the adjoining 1906 villa. With the addition of modern facilities it is the perfect warm and cozy location for all seasons.
Guests enjoy the open plan living, with 3 bedrooms, full kitchen amenities, open plan lounge and dining area, fireplace, central heating and a communal outdoor spa pool.
Bedding and towels are provided, with the beds made up ready for you. FREE WIFI (10GB per day) * Available on two devices at one time. Additional Wifi available for purchase.

In winter guests return from their days skiing or other seasonal activities to the warmth of a roaring fire and all the comforts of home. During the brilliant Central Plateau summers the scene shifts to outdoor pursuits with barbeques, friendly games of cricket, or simply relaxing on the verandas overlooking the peaceful native gardens all the while taking in the breathtaking views of Mt Ruapehu.
Your friendly hosts can organize a shuttle to and from the Apartment - whether it’s to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Turoa Ski Field, Mt Ruapehu, the famous Whanganui River trip, Mountain bike hire (to explore the tracks) is available directly from the Lodge. Your hosts are passionate about your enjoyment of the region and the comfort of your accommodation and will ensure your visit is an unforgettable and happy experience.
Special conditions: Advertised nightly rate price is for up to four guests only. Additional staying guests above four will incur an additional $20 charge per guest, per night, up to a maximum of 6 guests. Infants under the age of 24 months stay free. For cancellations outside of 7 days prior to your arrival there a $10.00 (NZD) administration fee and your deposit refunded, however if you cancel within 7 days of your expected arrival, one night's accommodation deposit will be retained.

This is a great property to stay in. Historical building modernised tastefully internally but keeping all the essential character. Mod cons include choice of two spa baths, one inside and one outside. High ceilings add character. Lots of room. Fantastic views of the snow covered mountain - when the cloud cleared. This will be our preferred place to stay when next in Ohakune. Some people remark about trains running close by. Great sound and trains passing not very common.
Apartment had everything we needed and was spacious and comfortable. Very high standard of cleanliness also. Our family loved using the spa after skiing. There was some noise from the other section of the house but overall it was a great place to stay.
Our stay at Heritage in the Junction was great. We were slightly concerned about the proximity to the rail line but it was absolutely no problem. The few passing trains didn't disturb us. The house was perfect for our needs. Great spaces, well equipped and toasty warm. The shared Spa, drying room and wifi was a bonus. The space worked well for our family of 5, but with only one bathroom and no separate loo, it may be a challenge for sharing families. Would def book again.
Lovely chalet with good kitchen facility and an instantly toasty gas fire. The private spa pool was perfect for a post-ski soak. Lots of good pubs and restaurants, as well as ski hire within a couple of hundred metres. The chalet is also very close to the train track, and although we weren't bothered by the trains in the night, our friends woke up a couple of times. We will be booking here again for next year's trip.
