Cottage | Ruapuke Beach | #36309
Wildcoast is at Ruapuke Beach set on the foothills of mt. Karioi just south of Raglan. we are very unique in that we offer eco cabins that are simple and stylish set in a beautiful valley of native bush and regenerating kanuka and manuka. The flowers covering the trees are like snow in summer. we call it our white Christmas. The views are beautiful over the the ocean, sunsets are wonderful. The birds will wake you with their dawn chorus. We have the biggest stream that comes off this side of Karioi flowing through our property, so very beautiful to sit in the shade with a good book and enjoy. We breed cows and have a horse trekking business which is a great way to see the environment. We have a hot tub in the bush above the stream that we fill for you with fresh mountain water ( this is booked separately)
Ruapuke Beach is a few minutes drive or 20 min walk.
Raglan is 25 mins away with Cafes, restaurants, art and many great outdoor activities.. and of course the world famous surf. Kawhia Harbour is 50 mins south and has a hot water beach and great fish and chips. It takes 1 1/2 hrs to get Waitomo caves from here. There is plenty to do, or just sit and unwind and enjoy nature.
Special conditions: dogs allowed with prior approval outside the cabin. we are a working farm so keep all gates as you find them and watch the electric fences. No smoking in cabins

Thank you Penny and River. We had a wonderful stay, just what we needed. After being in large cities in Japan and South Korea for 2 weeks, staying at Windy Flax was just what was needed. Beautiful scenery with not a soul insight. The hot tub was also amazing! We'll definitely be back
We actually stayed in Windyflax, the other eco-cabin on the property. It was exactly what we were looking for, getting off the grid for a relaxed family holiday. A perfect base to explore the property and the wider area. We will definitely return.
