Constructed in 1911 as three large terraced houses, this distinctive building now has ten spacious self contained rooms and offer the best of all conveniences, along with the bygone charm of a unique Scottish heritage that is Dunedin- 'The Edinburgh of the South'.
Highland House is perfect for a weekend break, sports event or concert, business stop over, or for parents visiting their children at Otago university. Located close to the centre of Dunedin, transport links, Otago University, Dunedin Hospital and Forsyth Barr Stadium. Also Located close to the Botanical Gardens and Woodhaugh Gardens which provide a perfect backdrop for wedding photos.
The house has ten self contained studios, each with their own bathroom and kitchenette, flat screen tv, quality linen and unlimited wifi. There are 6 upstairs bedrooms and 4 downstairs. Three of the rooms are larger (additional cost)and have a queen bed in the main room and a separate room with a single bed, whilst the other 6 have one queen bed. We can cater up to a maximum of 23 people. There are six off street car parks.
Discount for longer stay/groups (the more people staying and the longer the stay the cheaper the nightly rate per person)

Excellent location at the end of George Street, near Woodhaugh gardens, the Dunedin Botanic garden, there is a laundry on site, food and drink outlets etc nearby. Couldn't be better & dogs welcomed with several ground floor dog friendly apartments amongst the different room options.
