Beautiful location, right on the water. If you are after a tree-house type feel, this place is for You. Going at the end of May, the house was cold at night - Be prepared to rug up if staying during the winter months. Very private and everything you could need was available, right around the corner from Russell - making it a perfect base for day trips.
The location was stunning but the access was terrible. My husband is very fit but he had difficulty getting our suitcases up to the cottage. It's very slippery when wet & would not be great for anyone who is elderly or unfit. The DVD player did not work unfortunately & the cooking hob was not really adequate but luckily there was a Weber BBQ to cook on. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay.
Thanks for the feedback. The sight elevation from the waterfront as you walk up the track whilst enabling great views of the bay, does create a barrier for transporting large suitcases. It is specifically for this reason that we highlight in our listing that we do not recommend taking large suitcases. In addition we repeat this in our guest information sent pre-trip. We have had numerous elderly guests that have managed this. Sorry that this was not clearer for your stay.
