We LOVED staying in Amber House. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Spacious, comfortable, warm, beautiful home. The best we have stayed in Hokitika. The separate children's lounge was wonderful. Beds were solo comfortable! Will definitely be back. Thank you Kylie and Jason for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
Very spacious accommodation with one of the best equipped kitchens we have encountered in our stay in many 'bachs' in New Zealand. Great beds, good WiFi, and fabulous showers. We walked into town all the time.....about a kilometre to the centre of town. And the wide streets of Hokitika...wow!
Amber House was a great surprise, modest from the outside, the inside more than we needed or expected. Recently done up, it was warm (double glazing), with a great kitchen, lots of space, lovely showers and very clean and tidy. It was very comfortable and a great place to relax. Within easy working distance of town and on the cycle-way it was conveniently located. We had a great time and I would have no hesitation in staying there agaion
The house was great for a home from home break. I feel it would benefit from some bedside tables in the bedrooms & a few extra things in the kitchen, like a large chopping board & a couple of big serving bowls/plates. Other than these immaterial things the house was brilliant.
Thanks for your feedback! We have been trying to find bedside cabinets for quite some time but can't find any small enough to fit! We'll keep looking though, the perfect ones will eventually show themselves :-) We'll also get a large chopping board and some big bowls, thank you again for your feedback, we hope you'll come back again soon!
