Description

Only an hour and thirty minutes from Auckland and 30 minutes south of Whangarei, you will fall in love with this traditional kiwi bach. Situated only 100 metres from Ruakaka surf beach and estuary, 5 minutes walk to local dairy and 10 minutes drive to historic Waipu township where you can eat out, enjoy the local cafes or visit the musuem.

Go swimming in the surf and enjoy long walks along the beach. Pick tuatuas at low tide or surf cast for snapper from the beach in the evening. Launch the boat in the Ruakaka estuary or Marsden Cove marina and discover the Whangarei Harbour or beyond.

Plenty of extra room to pitch a tent and park the boat. Use it as a base to discover wonderful Northland.

Yes, the bach decor is a bit outdated (and some of the wallpaper is ripped!); not many of the plates, cups or cutlery match - but it is clean, tidy and warm and has everything you need to enjoy your holiday (except a dishwasher!!) Please bring your own towels, sheets, blankets and pillows.

$100 refundable bond payable on some bookings - depending on your rental history.

  • Such a great bach for kids

Such a great bach for kids. Set up with everything you need. Great proximity to the beach. Enormous lawn to play on. It is exactly what it says it is in the description - a traditional kiwi bach and we loved it. We will definitely be back.

    Owner/manager responds:

Yes, the bach décor is outdated - but as the description says and the other feed back - it is a traditional kiwi bach - warm, clean and tidy and very close to the beach. The upstairs toilet and bathroom has been redecorated - and is still very good value.
