  • Nothing flash but had (almost) everything we needed

Nothing flash but had (almost) everything we needed. Only thing missing was a freezer. Super toasty warm though and the Spa was great!

We felt the neccessity to clean the fridge upon arrival. The spa pool was wonderful after having hiked the complete day.

Not what you would have expected! Upon arrival, there was a junk yard on the lawn, a putrid smell in the house - we had to vacuum, put all cushions out to air, clean counter tops. There wasn't even any toilet paper - the minimum you'd expect to be provided. My suggestion to Paul: clean the bach yourself every once in a while or pay someone to do it as you can't rely on guests to leave the place up to standard. And fix hot tub & BBQ.

  • A reasonably tidy batch

A reasonably tidy batch. Good hot water pressure, log fire and lounge. The mattresses looked a bit worse for wear and the spa was out of action (Paul did give compensation for this). Overall it was a good deal especially considering the price.

  • Mold and putrid water throughout the fridge making it unusable

Mold and putrid water throughout the fridge making it unusable. Barbecue was unusable too as it was so dirty. Hot-tub was not working, oily water in the tub and an "error" message on the console. Found dirty socks stuffed in one of the beds. While we were supplying our own sheets, the pillows and duvets provided are heavily stained. 3 logs total supplied for firewood seems inadequate. Overall not as advertised . Very disappointed.
