Bach or holiday home | Castle Hill | #38329
Take some time out from the fast pace of life and enjoy a stay at this brand new house located in an outdoors paradise. Simple but practical you will find everything you need when you come back from a day of skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, walking and other adventures.
One of the best spots in the village this house backs onto the Craigieburn Forest Park and the Thomas River. You'll have access to walking and biking tracks at your back door. Five ski-fields providing a variety of experiences are all within 20-30 minutes drive. World class bouldering can be found by driving 10 minutes east of the village to Castle Hill (Kura Tawhiti) scenic reserve.
If you are wanting something a little more mellow then a walk around these very same boulders will have you in awe. There is even a rustic golf course across the road.
The house is light and airy with windows galore to let the sun in and capture the unique landscape of the surrounding ranges. Being new it is fully insulated and double glazed. The builder had a blast trying out some cool interior finishing techniques to set this place apart from the crowds.
Just over an hour from Christchurch, you can stock up before you escape the rat race. Its just a 20 mins drive down to Springfield to refuel.
Give it a go, once you've tried it you're bound to be back for more.

Loved this house! Fantastic location within the village and a really smart design. Suitably impressed by the builder's attention to detail! So well insulated that the autumn sun was enough to warm the house without need for the woodburner... of course we had to light it just once to accompany the wine and cheese! A great spot for any season.
