The house is an old bach that was renovated in 2015. A modern kitchen and bathroom are in place. Bigger, double-glazed windows were installed to capture the views no matter the weather.
The house is on a steep one-way street, which should be accessed from the back so that it is an easier downhill drive into the property's driveway.

Stayed for 3 nights at Bay Splendour and the view from this place of the harbour truely lived up to everything we were hoping for. Bed was comfy and we appreciated the electric blanket to warm it as the weather was cold. Kitchen was well equipped for self catering which we chose to do after being out all day exploring The Otago Peninsula. Overall a great little get away and easy to find.
The views are fantastic and the location very quiet, yet so close to the sights of the Otago Peninsula. The house is homely with nicely renovated kitchen and bathroom and plenty of heating. The bedrooms could do with a bit of a makeover, but everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. The stairs up to the house are a bit uneven, so you need to be careful, but the location and water views make up for this.
