We have stayed in many different types of accommodations, but this one may be our favorite of all. The cottage is so comfortable, so well equipped, and in such an extraordinary location that it was heartbreaking to leave. Anakiwa is a fabulous location, but it’s best for relaxing, walking the Queen Charlotte Track, and breathtaking local drives. The drive from Picton is jaw-droppingly beautiful, but it is a dramatically winding trip. This is not a place to come and go from in a hurry. Everything has been beautifully thought out. The kitchen is truly ready for real cooking if you feel like it. Dinner outside is divine. And the birds!! We could have watched the birds and never left at all. Joanne has thought of everything, and this place is a gem. Thank you Joanne!

We have stayed at many places around NZ and this property is one of the best. Amazing attention to detail and super clean. The kayaks were an added bonus that the boys loved. Thanks so much for sharing batch 4. We will be back !!

We were blown away by the effort that has been put into making this bach a wonderful place to stay. This property has all of the functionality of a really good resort suite, overlaid with an exceptional kitchen, and layered with a wonderful selection of classic bach kiwiana. The rooms are exquisitely decorated to the highest standard, while keeping the intimate feel and heart of a traditional holiday retreat. The kitchen has everything that you would need,a sharp and shiny blend of quality appliances and.clean, contemporary cookware. You will not find a better bach in this quiet and charming part of the world. Be sure to bring all of your favourite treats and ingredients, the local garage carries basic grocery items, and it's a scenic drive to the nearest supermarket. We'll definitely book again next time we are drawn back to the Sounds.
