5 star location made by it’s lakeside setting right beside the boat ramp and native nz planted garden sheltered from neighbours that discreetly finds its way right to the lakeside. Plenty room for tents and boat, but we put an entertainment gazebo up that served us well beside the garden camp fire for entertaining and dining also had a volley ball netup as well and still had plenty space. The dining room outdoor flow to the balcony (with beautiful views of the lake and distant ranges) did the job just as well. The house is cottage type, aged with character, basic clean and comfortable. Entrance didn’t look immediately impressive on arrival but once you get passed the front door and car park it all makes sense why people keep returning g here. We stayed a week and didn’t have the urge to go out venturing beyond the immediate vicinity of the house, garden and lake. Plenty fun for the kids on the safe and shallow waters at beach on bottom of garden. Great for water sport enthusiasts and f
This place had thee most stunning views of the lake while still being nice and secluded and sheltered. The lake was 1 minutes walk away and had a luxurious sandy beach and great boat ramp. Plenty of books on lots of book shelfs to curl up and flick through on the deck too. Benedict was a lovely host! Thanks again. Couldn't have asked for anything different.
