  • Great place to get in touch with the original New Zealand bush...

Great place to get in touch with the original New Zealand bush while only 15 minutes walk to a superb and not very beach. John has just about thought of everything. Ample supplies of food and drink, books, games, bicycles etc. The cottage was everything as it was described. I knew going in that there was no WIFI access as I discussed it with John. However, if you need WIFI or phone, then I would suggest getting a Sparc sim card or stick. Vodafone and 2Degrees are awful(V) and useless (2D)

  • Very clean and well stocked for cooking and activities

Very clean and well stocked for cooking and activities. Closely surrounded by forest. Close to a bus stop, but the road is a bit rough for roller bags. Very private and pleasant.

  • My mother and I enjoyed our stay in Nikau Cottage

My mother and I enjoyed our stay in Nikau Cottage. It is a cute wee place. In the evening, we enjoyed not having a TV and we got rather competitive playing games! Loved the trees and birds surrounding the house, a good restful environment. Thanks John. Leanne Kime

  • Such a cute quiet little place

Such a cute quiet little place. The added bonus of the coffee, herbs and oils, insect repellent and sunblock was a lovely touch. The kids especially loved the boogie boards. The Bach was extremely well stocked. We wanted to bring the coffee machine home it was so good! Thanks for the use of this great little Bach!
