The character dwelling is in a stunning location & has excellent basic amenities & is fully stocked with many extras. I recommend 4 wheel drives only in winter for access, which would enable the visitor to park outside the bach. There is a very steep concreted hill driveway/ROW which requires nerves of steel for first time visitors to negotiate. The area is peaceful & filled with birdlife. Excellent walking abounds. Be well prepared for an off grid adventure.
For over 20 years we’ve had dozens of Kiwis and overseas guests. The shared ROW over the steep hill is completely concreted giving no access problems in all sorts of 2 wheel drive and front-wheel drive vehicles. We always recommend that first-time guests arrive in the daylight to get through the "farm" gates and settle in before dark as there is no electricity on the property. We usually recommend having a good torch in case of delayed arrival.
